Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. ("Algonquin") is a respected and socially responsible participant in the renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure sectors. Algonquin owns and operates over 70 assets across North America including wind energy and hydroelectric facilities. The Amherst Island Wind Project is being developed by Windlectric Inc., a subsidiary of Algonquin. Gaia Power Inc. (Kingston, Ontario) is the original developer of the Amherst Island Wind Project.
